| Osservazioni | Although this section of Ockeghem's Missa Prolationum is frequently listed as a double canon at the third above, the Discantus voice in C and Ct voice in C. are clearly the duces. Consequently, the comes of the Discantus is sung a third below, and the comes of the Ct as third above. This produces the unusual vertical shift of the comes duet so that intervallic relations between the original duces voices are contracted by a fifth (vv=-4). |
