| Commento all'incipit mus. | Translation of rubric: For four parts, beginning with two Cantus parts in thirds, while the Bass and Tenor are in thirds by means of reversing the book. Four clefs on the left-hand side of the staff: two C and two cut-C, suggesting augmentation. Two presa signs at the midway point above the staff indicate endpoint for Tenor and Bass. Rubric instruction "al ruers del libra" means that the Tenor needs to imagine a C4 clef instead of the G2 clef. |
